Regular visits during pregnancy are essential to monitor both mother and baby. In an uncomplicated pregnancy, visits are usually scheduled as follows:
- Every 4 weeks until 32 weeks
- Every 2 weeks from 32 to 36 weeks
- Weekly from 36 weeks until delivery
At each visit, your provider will check your weight, blood pressure, and urine, as well as your baby’s growth, heart rate, and position. Blood tests, ultrasounds, and other screenings are performed at specific stages of pregnancy to track development and identify potential problems.
